Ahhhhhhh....
Yes! I can breathe for the next two weeks! Well, not really. I have to reclaim my yard from the jungles and my house from the beasts that roam about in it. I have only been home recently to sleep. That's it. I feel bad for not giving my fur babies as much time as I have my school work but that makes the time together more fun. I plan on catching up on a lot of reading, beginning with " Lead With Purpose," "What's Math Got to Do With It?," and my latest e-book from Mike Allen "Clockwork Pheonix 4" which is a collection of out of this world stories.
Besides rescuing my nest from the wrath of nature and her beasties, I plan on contacting someone I met at Mill Mountain Coffee and taking a drive to the Advanced Engineering Lab at Virginia Tech. They are working on some interesting underwater projects I'd like to check out.
Plus I had a very nice chat with Virginia Senator, John Edwards, this afternoon. We talked about everything from politics to Einstein to scientific and technological advances. I feel very lucky that I get to meet some very awesome people in my everyday life. Ever since I left corporate retail, my life has become far more interesting than I could have ever imagined!
Which is a major indication, to me, that I am following the path that this universe has intended that I follow. I trust myself, my deep convictions, and more importantly, my gut instinct. Even major events that should have thrown me of course have been a breeze.
Onto the next life step, not settling for less than I deserve. Yes, it will require long hours and hard work but I have never been afraid of hard work. My research project this summer is going to be hard work. Yet, it is another step in one of my many life goals. I have grown closer to the students I attend school with and truly enjoy them, their views, and their energy. I will be working with a few of them over the summer and have already told a few others that they will be receiving invites to the pool during the summer. I can't wait to get back in touch with my friends from VWCC and outside of college to include them in all my shenanigans. I only hope I get the chance to do a little traveling over the summer, especially close to a beach of some sort.
Onward and upward!
