Conversations in my head.
Operation: Reclaim House from Nature and Beasties is running smoothly at the moment. There will always be work but I don't have to kill myself to get it done. I am enjoying reading a few books over the next two weeks and seeing what kind of fun I can get into. But for now, I will let you in on a conversation my left and right brain were having at some point this morning.
Right Brain (RB)
Do... do doo... duh doo. Are we done with cleaning this stuff up yet? I'm bored!
Left Brain (LB)
Almost, almost. We're nearing lunch and we need a shower.
RB
So what are we doing this afternoon? Something fun? Something creative? Something we haven't done before?
LB
You had fun this morning. I allowed you to about 45 minutes of playing your alto saxophone, waking up the neighbors, and such.
RB
*sigh* It wasn't enough. It's never enough.
LB
But I received the signal from your lips that they were beginning to wear out.
RB
More! More! More!
LB
No! No! NO! We have to be able to play and teach tenor saxophone later tonight!
RB
I know. I know. But we have been studying for WEEKS. Such boring things! I only have two weeks to have MY turn!
LB
Science and Math are boring? You know that isn't true.
RB
To you they are not. I want to play, paint, draw, and just imagine things!
LB
Such as what?
RB
Fighting dragons! Saving the day! Being a hero! Can we play World of Warcraft again?
LB
No. Not right now. We can't afford it.
RB
Ok. But can we at least sit outside and draw today?
LB
Yes, but only if I get to read later.
RB
Fine.
Yes, my creative side and right brain is my constant inner child trying to break through. My left brain, well, she is a bit of an OCD mother hen who likes to nest.
