Down the Rabbit Hole.

A week and a half before Spring Break when everything begins hitting all at once. It has become that time to reassess what life is. These are the things running around in my skull.

  • Tax returns! Woohoo! Paying off bills! It feels good to feel not quite as much under this particular stress but it is still catch-up time for me. I realized that I had not properly taken care of things last season as I should have. My brain was still scattered and trying to help as much as I could. My federal work study helps but the hours are limited because of the stipend and the amount per hour I do make.
  • School commitments. As many of you know, I am trying my darndest to keep our Physics majors in the Society of Physics Students motivated and focused. You also know that I am in the Jazz Band and keeping my commitment to that as well. Then there is the addition of Student Government Association. Which is not all that time-consuming, but it is an added responsibility. Then there is Chem research and research prep for this summer! So we are playing catch-up here too. Well, school stuff just never ends. It's like standing on Dragon's Tooth while doing a pirouette on the ledge.
  • Personal Health. I have had bronchitis and sinusitis and am being treated for that intensively because of the addition of asthma complications. So, the rescue inhaler has been getting a workout. Still drinking a ton of water. Would like to make more changes but they will have to wait until I can think clearly when I am well. My appetite is little since all this started. I have lost weight but can we do this more naturally than every time I get sick?
  • Personal commitments. If it were not for my family and my lady friends, I am not sure where I would be right now. We rely on each other. Not just for our own success but for the continued success of each person on each branch of our bush. Keep nurturing those gardens between friends!
  • Business commitments. I still have drive and I still want to be successful but this area has taken somewhat of a backseat since last fall and I am working hard to bring it back to the forefront. I still pick up clients here and there and that makes me happy.
As each thing feels like they are just about caught up, usually something else crops up. But I can see each bulb coming to bloom and can therefore plan better than I have yet all winter. It has been a long winter. A very normal winter in comparison to the previous warmer-than-average winter. It is all part of Nature's way as she clears the air to make up for the additional heat given off by black carbon that now exists in the atmosphere. Nature has a way of responding to changes but that does not mean that we should test her limits. Hope all of you have had a great Hump Day!
